Wing Chun Kung Fu
Wing Chun is a system of Kung Fu aimed at realistic/practical self defence. Wing Chun is logical, scientific, yet simple martial art which provides both self-defence and fitness skills for people young and old.
Wing Chun's techniques are based on direct natural body movements, which are easy to learn.
Who created it?
Wing Chun was founded by a Buddhist nun named Ng mei in the early 1700's. She witnessed a fight between a stork and a rodent and was impressed by the way the stork defended itself with the use of its wings and feet simultaneously, and so she went about adapting this to the human frame and formulated her fighting system.
Where does the name come from?
Ng mei first students name was Yim Wing Chun which means "Everlasting Springtime"
And as the name suggests, Wing Chun is a system that is continually evolving and improving.
